I help teams work more efficiently through automation, better data, and smarter tools. Based in Baltimore County, Maryland, I live with my wife and three sons.

My background is in systems analysis and operations support. I spend my days solving problems that people did not know were technical until they were. That work is interesting to me. It also leaves me wanting something the spreadsheets cannot give, which is why I write.

This site is where I think out loud. About books I am working through, things I noticed, ideas I cannot let go of. I am not trying to build an audience or sell anything. I am trying to stay sharp and leave something behind that sounds like me.

I follow the Ravens and Orioles with the dedication they probably do not deserve. I read on Kindle, walk more than I used to, and am slowly becoming the kind of person who has opinions about coffee.
